There's another product to mix with the paints if you are painting even softer materials like sock liners. Otherwise the paint makes it too hard

When you paint that type of material no matter what color you are using you need to mix the paint 50/50 with a product like Gac 900. It softens the paint so the mesh doesn't become stiff and cause the paint to crack as well.

I used angelus paint mixed with Gac 900 from angelus. There's plenty of YouTube videos to teach you. That's how I learned. I'm still not done with them. I have to change the jumpman and small lettering with a better small brush or paint marker

Legit. That's what 20 years of yellowing looks like. Mine were the same before I customized them with angelus paints.
