Just copped the right size..These are 100% .5 size down. There’s no padding inside the shoe except the tongue, and heel. So normally I would wear a 9.5 in a normal/heavy padded shoe. But since the flyknit is so thin with this new tech, there was too much space Inside for my liking imo.

Honestly it isn't a big deal to me or a lot of other players. The midsole foam is softer than a traditional EVA foam and is cored out in the heel. It almost feels like lunarlon/cushlon based foam but less squishy. And a lot of the time I couldn't tell there was a zoom bag in the heel in my xx8's...

It's such an old subject that's been proven as well..All that matters is how low you're to the ground and heel containment so your foot doesn't move around. It doesn't matter how high or low the shoe is because it can be rolled either way if fitment is not basketball specific

I've been fortunate and still haven't had a xx8 pop on me. The flight plate tech is still placing zoom units unrestricted under the forefoot in the xx9's. I would rather go through less hassle and go with the more reliable route and take the xx9's any day of the week. I'm just waiting for...

Exactly. I did the same. The XX9 rubber is thicker and more dense on the bottom for whatever reason they decided to change it. Most likely to preserve the zoom units. It doesn't mean the energy return is less by any means.
